Dalla rievocazione quasi teatrale di Greccio, la più antica, alla suggestiva messa in scena di Custonaci nel Trapanese, passando per uno dei presepi viventi più grandi allestito nelle grotte di Frasassi. A dicembre si rinnova in tutta Italia l’appuntamento con le più belle rappresentazioni della Natività:sintesi perfetta di sacro, arte e tradizione popolare.

Nel borgo di Greccio, nella Vallata Santa in provincia di Rieti, quello allestito per i giorni di Natale ed Epifania non è un semplice presepe vivente ma uno spettacolo teatrale molto suggestivo. Nel 1223 in quei luoghi San Francesco rappresentò per la prima volta la Natività con personaggi viventi nella notte di Natale. E dal 1973 ogni anno uomini e donne in costumi medievali danno vita alle vicende che portarono all’allestimento del presepe. L’appuntamento è il 24 dicembre con repliche il 26 e 29 dicembre e il primo, 5 e 6 gennaio. Le tribune possono ospitare oltre duemila posti a sedere e sono previste tensostrutture riscaldate.

La tradizione francescana regna anche nel cuore dell’Umbria che quest’anno ospita decine di presepi viventi: a San Fortunato della Collina nel comprensorio di Perugia, alla cascata delle Marmore, a Gubbio, Spoleto e a San Gregorio di Assisi, per citarne alcuni.

Una rappresentazione della Natività che assomiglia a un museo a cielo aperto delle tradizioni e dei mestieri siciliani di un tempo è il presepe vivente di Custonaci, in provincia di Trapani, nella grotta Mangiapane, inserito fra i cento beni immateriali della Regione Sicilia. Da quasi trent’anni, l’Associazione culturale “Museo vivente” del comune trapanese riporta in vita case rurali, stalle, un forno per il pane costruiti da una famiglia di pastori a fine Ottocento, coinvolgendo un’intera comunità locale di veri artigiani che eseguono gesti e riti di antichi mestieri. Ecco le date: 25-26-29-30 dicembre e 5-6 gennaio.

La Puglia ha alle spalle una ricca tradizione di presepi viventi. Uno dei maggiori in Italia viene realizzato a Tricase, in provincia di Lecce, sulla collina di Monte Orco da dove si ammira un panorama mozzafiato. L’inaugurazione è fissata per il 22 dicembre, le altre serate di apertura sono: 25-26-29-30 dicembre e 1-3-5-6 gennaio 2013.
