Dall‘Italia al resto del mondo, sulle rotte dei 29 milioni di italiani che tra la fine dell’Ottocento e l’inizio del secolo scorso sono emigrati in cerca di fortuna. E’ il viaggio nella memoria e nelle migrazioni proposto dal nuovo allestimento permanente delGalata Museo del Mare di Genova. Un percorso di emozioni e sensazioni, al terzo piano del piu’ grande museo marittimo del Mediterraneo, con piu’ di 40 postazioni multimediali per raccontare come le migrazioni segnino la societa’ italiana.

 

I visitatori, una volta entrati, indossano i panni virtuali del migrante, con tanto di passaporto che lo trasforma in uno dei venti migranti – famosi e non – dei quali e’ stata ricostruita la storia. ”Tra loro anche Rodolfo Valentino – ricorda Campodonico – che parti’ povero da Genova e trovo’ fama in America”.
